Women have always had and continue to have a profound impact on the church and are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of those around them! As God continues to shape His vessels like a potter forms a jar of clay, our desire is to minister to women in a way that more adequately equips them to handle life's difficulties while enriching their hearts, encouraging their souls, and expanding their ministries.
Spacious Places Ministries began in 1991 as a Bible Study Fellowship of four women who were attending Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Bible Study was held around a small table in the Student Union or on the veranda of "Every Hall".
Soon other students began to "hang around" and the study group grew from four to around
twenty regular attendees of all ages. As the four women began to involve
themselves in the lives of other women in the group, the Lord began to
reveal the need for a women's ministry on campus; thus grew Spacious
Places Ministries.
Spacious Places Ministries is an inter-denominational, Christian discipleship organization, primarily, but not exclusively ministering to women, for women and by women.
Our theme scripture is 2 Samuel 22:20 "He brought me out into a spacious places; He rescued me because he delights in me."
We believe this scripture expresses the total healing power of Jesus Christ: forgiveness of sin, physical healing and wholeness, spiritual gifts, victorious living, and life everlasting in the presence of the King! |

The Purpose of Spacious
Places Ministry is to: |

- To
glorify God and bring honor to the name of Jesus Christ;
- To
disciple the woman of God into a life style of purity and
holiness;
- To
encourage and assist the woman of God in fulfilling her
calling from God, to her family and her community;
- To
assist the woman of God in discovering the amazing purpose and
potential God has created her to be; and
- To
discover the amazing power of God working through her.
